The VW Polo (AW) has a solid and unagitated ride as standard. The standard suspension is designed for comfort and suitability for everyday use. It filters out a lot of things that are annoying on bad roads or in the city. At the same time, it quickly becomes clear that this focus on comfort comes at a price: The Polo stands relatively high and sways during fast driving manoeuvres and cornering. The GTI is somewhat firmer and more direct, but the factory character is still more balanced than sporty.
ST X
This Polo AW suspension is the upgrade if you want to finally put an end to the well-behaved, high-legged standard feel. With the firm damper set-up, you get a much sportier, fuller ride without everyday driving becoming an imposition. The car sits lower and quieter on the road - perfect for commuters and young drivers who want a clean lowering set-up at a low price.

That depends on your driving style and intended use: the ST X is suitable for everyday lowering, the ST XA for more adjustment options and the ST XTA for maximum performance. If you want to raise your VW Polo (AW), choose the ST lift kit.
How much lower can you lower the Polo AW with a coilover suspension?
Depending on the model variant and year of manufacture, lowering in the range of approx. 20-50 mm is possible with an ST coilover suspension, always within the TÜV range. Within this range, you can customise the lowering of your car at any time.
Does lowering the Polo AW make it too stiff?
ST coilovers are designed to stay comfortable enough for daily driving while offering a sportier ride. If the Polo AW coilover suspension is too hard, you can always adjust the rebound damping to make it softer (except for ST X coilovers).

Yes, ST offers model-specific solutions for the Polo AW GTI: the ST X, ST XA and ST XTA coilover suspensions are also available for GTI models. These kits are customised for specific vehicles and are manufactured in Germany. They come with a parts certificate and installation instructions.
