The BMW 3 Series E46 was a driving dynamics statement in its day. Precise steering, balanced weight distribution and a lively chassis made it the benchmark in its class. For many, the M3 E46 in particular epitomised agility and performance. But today? Worn wishbone bearings, spongy handling at speed and a generally more unsettled character are noticeable. Composite spring perch
Adjustable spring plates made of polyamide composite material with stainless steel insert prevent corrosion on the suspension strut and ensure permanent height adjustability.
Galvanised strut housing
Galvanised and multi-sealed steel strut housing for optimised corrosion protection.
Dust protection and bump stop
Dirt particles and spray water can no longer penetrate to the piston rod seal package of the coilover suspension. The bump stop is used as an additional spring element when the suspension is subject to heavy loads.

What are the advantages of an ST coilover suspension compared to lowering springs?
ST sports springs reduce rolling movements and improve the look, but remain dependent on standard dampers. An ST coilover suspension (e.g. ST XTA or ST XTA plus 3) replaces the complete unit. What you get: maximum precision and sportier handling.
Why do I need wheel spacers on the E46 if I install coilover suspension?
Not always, but often. With standard rims, the front axle tends to be cramped. Wheel spacers such as ST DZX or ST AZX create space, improve the look and provide more driving stability.
Are ST wheel spacers for the BMW E46 eligible for registration?
Yes, all our ST wheel spacers, whether classic or innovative such as DZX and AZX, come with a parts certificate. This allows you to have your wheel/tyre combination legally and easily registered by your trusted expert.
